El Prof. Dr. Rainer Kotz es un cirujano oncológico ortopédico altamente experimentado con más de 50 años de experiencia, se graduó de la Universidad de Viena y obtuvo un diploma en ortopedia tumoral pediátrica de los EE. UU. Ha recibido numerosos honores, como la medalla de oro de la Universidad de Viena, la medalla Henry Dunant de la Cruz Roja, la medalla de honor del Ministerio de Salud de Austria, el premio Erwin-Schrodinger en 2005 y el MUVI Patrono de la Año en 2007.
