El Dr. Uygur es un urólogo internacional con un título médico y un título de médico de la Facultad de Medicina de la Universidad de Hacettepe, una beca de investigación del Laboratorio de Trasplantes de la Universidad de Helsinki y una residencia en Urología de la Facultad de Medicina de la Universidad de Hacettepe. Tiene más de 300 publicaciones y presentaciones internacionales y nacionales, con 781 citas científicas a 41 artículos. Es miembro de pleno derecho de la Asociación Europea de Urología, miembro correspondiente de la Asociación Estadounidense de Urología, miembro de la Sociedad de Oncología Urológica y miembro de la junta de la Sociedad Turca de Oncología Urológica. Ha completado cursos de cirugía urológica robótica en el Hospital Universitario de Vanderbilt, la Clínica Cleveland y el Centro Integral de Cáncer USC Norris. Es profesor de urología y catedrático en la Facultad de medicina de la Universidad de Near East, jefe de urología en el Centro médico Anadolu afiliado a Johns Hopkins Medicine y director de programas de uroncología y cirugía robótica urológica en el Centro médico Anadolu.
