Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tamer Aksoy graduated from Eskişehir Osmangazi University in 2000. After working as a Management Representative at SSK Tavşanlı Hospital, he worked as a General Practitioner at SSK Ankara Etlik Specialization Hospital Endocrinology Department and started his residency training at Hacettepe University Nuclear Medicine Department in 2005 and completed his specialization in 2009 and became a Nuclear Medicine specialist.

After working as an Assistant Professor at Afyon Kocatepe University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Nuclear Medicine, he started to work at Haydarpaşa Numune Training and Research Hospital in 2011. In 2012, Aksoy worked as an Assistant Professor at Acıbadem Hospitals group and Acıbadem Mehmet Ali Aydınlar University Faculty of Medicine. Dr. Aksoy, who worked as a Lecturer at Acıbadem Hospitals group and Acıbadem Mehmet Ali Aydınlar University Faculty of Medicine in 2012, started to work at Health Sciences University Istanbul Training and Research Hospital Nuclear Medicine Clinic in 2018 and ended his duty in 2023.

In 2012, he worked as a clinical researcher at the Netherlands Cancer Institute - Antoni van Leeuwenhoek (NKI) Hospital (Amsterdam / Netherlands) Nuclear Medicine Clinic (Netherlands) as an observer on PET imaging, Lymphoscintigraphy and Radionuclide Therapies. In February 2023, he received the title of Associate Professor. He has been serving his patients at Hisar Hospital Intercontinental since May 2023.

During his professional life, he has been accepting and following up patients especially on PET/CT examinations and Radionuclide Therapies.

He is a member of Turkish Medical Association, Turkish Nuclear Medicine Association and European Nuclear Medicine Association.

Biography

Dr. Mehdi Afrit is a Medical Oncologist who practices at Burjeel Specialty Hospital in Sharjah. He has over 11 years of experience caring for and managing cancer patients. He has extensive experience providing chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapy to patients. He earned a Certificate of Medical Oncology from the Gustave Roussy Institute in Paris, France, where he received training in antitumor chemotherapy and cancer medical treatment. Additionally, he holds an international certificate in breast diseases. He also has a certificate in Good Clinical Practice from Trans Celerate Biopharma Inc. and a certificate in Clinical Trial Management: Good Clinical Practice from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine of the Royal College of Physicians. He previously worked for over five years as an Assistant Professor of Medical Oncology at Tunis’s Faculty of Medicine. He later practiced as a Consultant, Medical Oncologist for six years at Arianna’s hospital in Tunisia. He later worked for two years as a Specialist Medical Oncologist at Zulekha Hospital. He was also an investigator in three international clinical trials and holds clinical trial auditing and CRO certifications and a GCP Training Certificate from 2016. He is a member in good standing of the Emirates Oncology Society (EOS), the European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO), and the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). Prof. Arturo Chiti graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Milan in 1989, and in the same year he entered the Post graduated School in Nuclear Medicine at the University of Milan, where he got his degree in 1993. In the same year he started working as Associate Chief at the National Cancer Institute in Milan, where he began his clinic and scientific experience in Oncology.
In 1997, he got the European Board of Nuclear Medicine fellowship.

In June 2000 he started leading the Nuclear Medicine Department at Humanitas Research Hospital.

On March 1, 2015 he was appointed Full Professor in Diagnostic Imaging and Radiotherapy at the Humanitas University in Milan, where he is also elected member of the Board.

Prof. Chiti is the Unit Director of the Nuclear Medicine Unit in Humanitas Research Hospital. He is the Director of the Post Graduate School in Diagnostic Imaging at Humanitas University. He is member of the Technical and Scientific Committee of the National Centre for Oncologic Adrotherapy (CNAO).

Arturo Chiti is co-author of several papers (www.scopus.com, www.pubmed.com) with an H-index of 30 (July 2016), wrote some books’ chapters and contributed to many abstracts presented at international and national meetings.
He is Honorary Editor of the European Journal of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging and reviewer for several international journals and grant applications.

He is a well-known invited speaker at numerous international congresses and conferences.

Prof. Arturo Chiti is the President of the European Association of Nuclear Medicine (EANM), where he has been active for more than 10 years.

He is also acting as an expert consultant for International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and is member of the International Commission on Radiation Units and Measurements (ICRU).

He was awarded the honorary membership of the European Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ESTRO); the Tom Miller Memorial Lecture Award from the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging and the Hevesy Gyorgy award from the Hungarian Society of Nuclear Medicine.
