El profesor Fabio Carmignani es especialista en andrología, urología y biopsia prostática bajo guía de resonancia magnética. Ha sido el Director del Departamento de Urología en el Hospital de Investigación Policlínico San Donato en Milán desde 2007 y tiene más de 10,000 cirugías en su haber. Tiene un título de médico de la Universidad de Milán y es el Presidente de la Fundación de la Sociedad Italiana de Urología. Ha escrito más de 100 materiales de investigación en cirugía urológica y es miembro de la Asociación Americana de Urología y la Sociedad Italiana de Urología, Terapia Mínimamente Invasiva.
