Dear Patient,
Thank you for your interest in our clinic. Carolina Medical Center is an orthopedic hospital specializing in treating all joint diseases using several methods, both traditional and surgical. We hold a quality control certificate of ISO in comprehensive health care, we are also FIFA accredited Centre of Excellence.
We do specialize in ankle replacement procedures, however the final decision about the range of the surgery is always taken by a doctor after the first consultation and diagnostic tests. The doctor would also decide whether the patient is medically fit for a surgery upon the first consultation.
Standard ankle joint replacement surgery price is PLN 52 000 - PLN 55 000. This price includes:
• laboratory tests, anesthesiology and general evaluation
• all costs connected with the procedure, including doctors’ fees
• medical materials and prosthesis
• hospital stay - 3 days after the surgery - private room, en-suite, full board, access to internet and TV channels, 24/7 nursing care.
• 1 hour physiotherapy per day during hospital stay
If you decide to have treatment in our clinic, we would ask you to fill in a questionnaire which is attached to this offer and send us X-ray of your ankle (projections AP and lateral). The doctor would analyze them and propose suitable treatment. We would offer you teleconsultation with our specialist upon which the doctor would answer all your questions and issue a referral for surgery. We will agree with you the date of the operation that suits you, and we will send you a list of blood analysis that you would be asked to undergo. They are necessary for the general practitioner and anesthesiologist to give their permission to surgery. Therefore, if you decide to do them in your country, and the outcome is not satisfactory for our specialists, it would save you from unnecessary travel. The most common contraindications are: high glucose level, abnormal ECG, and results suggestive of any infection. After undergoing these tests, you have to send them to me and I will forward them to doctors for analysis. If your results are good, you would be asked to arrive to the clinic few days before the surgery to see a surgeon and other doctors in person.
If blood and other required analysis are not possible for you to undergo in your country, you would have to arrive to our clinic for blood collection at least two weeks before the date of surgery.
In case of any further questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
With kind regards,
Danuta Milanowska
