I had a fantastic week at SHA. I want to thank the wonderful staff at the Orient Room for their attention and professionalism: Cristina, Tania, Enrique (Watsu was fantastic, I slept for 8 hours for the first time in a long time), Libertad, Fernando, Dr. Rodrigues and Dr. Filipa, and Liudmila, Yana at reception. The food in the restaurant was beyond praise, and a special thank you to Pablo for his help, attention, and humor. Everything was simply wonderful. See you soon!

My stay here was truly extraordinary — not just a vacation, but a whole-body renewal. Everything here is designed with care and intelligence. The food is so amazingly delicious; it’s super nourishing, crafted with probiotics, mindful cooking, and a profound understanding of the microbiome. Every meal felt like a gift to both body and soul and I didn’t even think about the fact that I only had 1000 calories per day!!
The staff here are the ❤️ of this place — incredibly competent, genuinely kind, and attentive. I always felt seen, supported, and completely relaxed. I asked most of them how long they have worked here and they answered like 10, 15 years which says a lot about this place I think! You can feel that the team here also care for eachother.
What makes this place unique is its holistic approach to wellbeing. They care for the entire being — body, mind, digestion, and even emotional balance. The medical checkups are seamlessly integrated with spa treatments, nutrition, and rest. I felt guided, not managed.
The design, the atmosphere, the energy — everything is filled with serenity and subtle luxury. It’s not just a hotel; it’s a sanctuary of longevity and joy.
I left feeling lighter, clearer, and deeply grateful. Can’t wait to come back again!

This is one of the best retreat hotels. Weather is amazing most of the time as it is in Spain. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Food is phenomenal 👍 treatments & facilities are highest standard ✨

It’s been about a month since our stay at SHA, and I still find myself thinking about the experience. As a couple, we took away a lot in terms of health and daily habits, the stay genuinely shifted how we think about food, exercise, and overall well-being. The quality of everything, especially the food, was top-notch. It truly feels like an investment in your health. The energy of the place did feel very serious, so make sure that’s what you’re looking for. For example, my partner was hungry after (a very small) dinner the first night and he was told he couldn’t have any more food because that would be outside of what the “doctor prescribed.” 😆
As far as feedback, we did feel there was quite a bit of upselling during the consultations. I’d recommend having a single planning session at the beginning of the program, where additional treatments or services outside your package can be suggested. After that, it would be better to focus on the experience without continued pressure, especially given the cost of everything. When you’re in a place where you’re focused on healing or self-improvement, it can feel uncomfortable to be repeatedly encouraged to spend more by someone in a position of authority.
One thing I realized after booking is that likely is better value to create your own personalized schedule and treatments, rather than opting for a pre-set package. I also agree with another reviewer who suggested having a call with SHA beforehand to discuss your goals.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay at SHA.
We felt relaxed, ate well, & had some interesting treatments.
What we most enjoyed:
- The food, even though it was a detox and small quantities, nothing lacked taste. Impressive.
- The service at the restaurant, they knew you, what you liked, what you needed.
- Spa Was very nice.
- Facilities were very modern, and everything was very clean, waiting rooms etc.
- The room was nice, great view, and some nice hikes around.
- Enjoyed most of the procedures, and staff were all smiling and attentive all the time. Also they tried their best to change things around when possible.
- The app was great, and very easy to use.
What we felt needed improvement, and why I didn’t give 5 stars:
- For the price we paid, we sometimes didn’t feel like there was a complete competence of all of the medical staff. Often many questions were left unanswered, or diverted to another doctor, who diverted to another etc. until the question got lost.
- The Agenda was often either super empty, or mega cramped. We had days where there was everything all at once.
- Example, blood sample followed by intense PT session (bruised my arm due to this). or stomach red light therapy straight after lunch. Seems like there was a bit of disorganisation in the agenda, sometimes no logical flow.
- In general what we would have liked is for it all to kind of come together, after all tests and therapies, to give us a sort of summary of way forward / recommendations. We felt we got all this data , but to be honest haven’t left much more sure about what to do with it all.
Having said this, we enjoyed our stay, and would definitely come back. But i recommend you know EXACTLY what you want to find out, and try to understand this BEFORE you go there. Have a proper call with agenda planning prior to arrival to understand what procedures would interest you.
