So my story is kind of long so bare with me. My case might help if you are traveling from another country, specifically with Dr. JOSE GONZALO NUÑEZ. So I start planning out my BBL surgery through his secretary Fernanda back in March 2022. I live in the US so this is all through whatsapp. My surgery was scheduled to be done in October 2022. Never had any contact directly with Dr. Nuñez it was all through his secretary. Well fast forward, I’m in Mexico now and its the day of my consult with the doctor. He sees me, inspects my body, and tells me that he can NOT perform the surgery due to excess fat and the only way he will, is if he does a tummy tuck. I told him i didnt want that and he continues to tell me he just cant do the surgery because it’ll be too risky for me. At the time i was 24 years old, about 167 lbs, give or take, no kids, and healthy. He proceeded to explain that my skin will most likely not stick back due to the excess fat after being taken out and that i needed to lose about 30lbs for him to perform the surgery. I was in disbelief, I started crying during the consult, it broke my heart because I had been wanting this surgery for years. Never did i think he was going to say no to the surgery, considering i flew from a different country and sent them pictures of my body months prior to my surgery. I leave his office and one of his secretaries tells me that i had gained some weight since i sent them the pics, and i knew i had gained some weight but it was at the most 5 to 7 pounds. Till this day it doesnt make any sense how he told me that i needed to lose 30 lbs but i had only gained about 7 since i sent them the pictures of my body, so why wouldnt they tell me to lose weight when we were setting up the appointment 6 months before? So i flew from the united states to Guadalajara just to get rejected right there and then. He also went about it pretty cold. He didnt try to make me feel any better even after seeing me cry he just simply said no i cant do the surgery. The next day(thanks to my auntie having connects)I saw another doctor a day later and he said himself how he didnt understand why Dr. Nuñez said no when I’m a great candidate and its definitely doable. So i got the surgery done by that doctor 3 days later. To end my review, there was no way to communicate with Dr. Nuñez directly, he was cold and intimidating idk maybe he only does surgery on real skinny girls because it might be the easiest for him. I’m typically a medium/large when it comes to clothing(it fluctuates). I’m not saying he is a bad doctor because i obviously didnt get that far to experience his work. Although, due to my experience, he might be a little stereotypical in a way because he wasnt willing to work on my body, which i would say is an average womans body. So if you find any relation to my experience, i suggest you look for another doctor.
