This is our first time here, but we knew he was a well-known and famous doctor. You can tell that when you talk to him. He's very attentive and informative. He explains every detail and answers all your questions. Our treatment process is just beginning with him, and hopefully, my son will recover.

When I came to your door, my child was 6 months old and we were using 3 strong antiepileptic drugs: TEGRETOL, LUMINILATTEN, and TOPAMAX. As if these weren't enough, you also inflicted the curse of EPDANTOIN upon us, and thanks to you, we learned about its most prominent side effects through struggle and experience. For two months, my child has been teething day and night, screaming and crying because of the thickening and swelling of the gums, which is known as the most prominent side effect of this cursed drug. And this drug, with its side effects, has an exit from our lives, and we still haven't been able to get rid of it, even with the doctor's guidance and by gradually reducing its dosage. Seizures that don't stop after 2 or more doses are referred to as drug-resistant epilepsy in the literature, and if the child is ready and compliant with this treatment, the only known treatment is the KETOGENIC DIET. Instead of inflicting this curse of EPDANTOIN upon us, why didn't you recommend the KETOGENIC DIET and save us from this drug? You exhausted us for months with the side effects. When I said my child couldn't tolerate this medication, became drug-induced, cried like a cat for hours, had excessively high body temperatures, and couldn't sleep, why didn't you CHANGE THE COURSE OF TREATMENT? And you know that sleeplessness and stress are the biggest enemies of seizures. Those medications are poisons; they shut down my child's perceptions, disconnect him from life, make everything about him artificial, and they DON'T STOP THE SEIZURES. They are just poisons that profit pharmaceutical companies; otherwise, they have absolutely no benefit for resistant epilepsy. You stole months of our time, you stalled us. You only stall in genetic diseases. I tell everyone, if your child has resistant epilepsy along with a genetic mutation, and the tests done during the preparatory phase show that they are compatible with a KETOGENIC DIET, never waste time with artificial medications that disconnect your child from life. (And then, on an examination day, you told me you saw my child looking very good and that you were waiting for my Google reviews. My child has no neck control, no eye tracking, is a floppy baby, and continues to have seizures. How could you have seen my child looking good that day? How could I have given you positive reviews when I had unanswered questions and my child wasn't making any progress? Well, I'm giving you my reviews now, based on my own experiences.)

As parents, we approached this clinic with great apprehension. Our daughter was suspected of having epilepsy, and we expected understanding, communication, and trust during such a sensitive process. Unfortunately, our experience was the complete opposite. Before even entering the examination room, we were told in no uncertain terms that we couldn't be admitted without payment. Even though we explained that my mother would withdraw cash and bring it within minutes (to avoid missing the appointment), no flexibility was shown. The significant price difference between cash and credit card payments also bothered us. We didn't feel comfortable during the examination either. When our daughter cried a lot, we didn't see enough attentiveness in their approach to children. When it was necessary to weigh her, we were told, "Just check her weight and tell me," leaving this part up to us, which was surprising. What bothered us most was the feeling that the process was purely commercial. Before we even left the room, we were told that appointments for MRI and blood tests had been scheduled without our consent. We were a family trying to process the diagnosis and the procedure first. We had all the requested tests done. Finally, when our genetic test results came back, we expected at least a brief assessment, something like "There's nothing to worry about/nothing to worry about." However, it was impossible to reach the doctor directly; communication was only possible through the secretary. When we called near closing time, we were told, "The clinic is closed," and no assistance was provided. When we contacted them again the next morning, we were only asked to schedule another appointment without receiving even a single sentence of information about the results. Despite being a patient under their care, the lack of any information after the results came back was disappointing. When we said we would still come to the clinic but couldn't they at least say something in a few sentences, they replied, "It's not that simple. We're waiting." After that, we decided to change doctors. The clinic's failure to contact us after this decision further demonstrated the limited importance given to the patient. Of course, every doctor's working style may be different. However, especially in a specialty like pediatric neurology, where families approach with great anxiety, I believe empathy, accessibility, and communication are just as important as medical information. Unfortunately, we didn't get to have this experience, and therefore I would never recommend it!
