Finalizó una subespecialización en Cirugía tiroidea y endocrina en el Hospital Haeundae Paik y otra en Cirugía de mama y endocrina en el Hospital de la Universidad Nacional de Seúl. Es especialista en cirugía tiroidea y endocrina (Sociedad Coreana de Cirugía). Está certificado en ecografía de mama y tiroides (Sociedad Coreana de Ecografía Quirúrgica).

Ha publicado en Korean Journal of Clinical Oncology (2019); Surgical Endoscopy (2020, ensayo clínico aleatorizado prospectivo de tiroidectomía BABA sin gas); Journal of Clinical Medicine (2022, Miniflap vs. BABA convencional); Clinical Medicine Insights: Oncology (2023, punto de corte ecográfico para la extensión extratiroidea); y Journal of Breast Cancer (2023). Es miembro vitalicio de la Sociedad Coreana de Cirugía, la Asociación Coreana de Tiroides y la Asociación Coreana de Cirugía Tiroidea y Endocrina.
