A graduate of the Medical University of Warsaw, a specialist in urology with the FEBU (Fellow of the European Board of Urology) certificate. Dr. Zugaj is one of the first doctors in Europe who started performing robotic surgery of kidney stones. He is a pioneer and promoter in Poland of holmium prostatic enucleation (HoLEP) in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia, removal of bladder tumors entirely using a holmium laser (HoLERBT) and urolithiasis surgery by kidney puncture in the supine position (supine PCNL). He has extensive experience in endoscopic treatment of urolithiasis and endoscopic treatment of tumors of the upper urinary tract. He is the author and co-author of publications presented and awarded at scientific congresses of the Polish Society of Urology. He started his residency in urology at Gazi University Hospital in 1987 and completed his specialization in 1992, becoming a urology specialist.
