El Prof. Carlo Pappone es el Jefe de la Unidad Operativa de Aritmología Clínica y el Laboratorio de Electrofisiología del IRCCS Policlinico San Donato en Milán y miembro experimentado de numerosas sociedades internacionales de cardiología. Tiene una especialización en Cardiología desde 1990 y un Doctorado en Enfermedades Cardiovasculares desde 1995, y ha estado involucrado en todos los procedimientos de electrofisiología. También ha desarrollado un nuevo procedimiento de ablación epicárdica para identificar y eliminar los mecanismos que desencadenan la muerte súbita en pacientes con síndrome de Brugada. Ha sido ponente invitado y moderador en los principales congresos nacionales e internacionales en el campo de la cardiología y la arritmología, y cuenta con un total de 184 artículos científicos, 30 capítulos de libro y 184 papers con 16.814 citas y un H-Index de 50.
